2024-2025 Season Information

That time of year is here again! It’s registration time and hockey season is just around the corner!

• The city has again raised the rate for ice time this year (6% increase). However, we did not increase our registration fees by the same amount, they are roughly 3% higher. Mini-mites and mites are the same rate as last season.
• The upfront payment has been lowered to $50 instead of $150 so especially for those with multiple players, it’s less you have to pay upfront. This also allows our mini-mite families to take advantage of the payment plans.
• In addition to the option of paying in full, you have the choice of 2 other payment plans. One is spread over 3 payments (November, December, January) or 5 payments (October, November, December, January, February).
• For our travel teams (squirts/10U, peewees/12U, bantams/14U) you will again have the opportunity to sell $400 worth of calendar raffle cards.
• Scholarship applications will be due by Sept. 20th, so the executive board has time to review and award scholarships before preseason skates/practices begin.
• Only registered players may participate in preseason skates and tryouts.
• Thank you to everyone that attended our summer camps! Not only did we have enough skaters to cover our costs, we generated revenue that the board has voted to put towards further player development. This year we are excited to announce that our goalies will receive goalie-specific training once a week from a goalie coach during their team’s practice. This is a $7,000 investment in our netminders! Shout out to new board member, Matt Newton, for putting together this plan to train our goalies and overseeing this initiative.

As an association, we aim to keep the fees as low as possible and provide a great experience for players and families. We will continue to seek opportunities to offset these costs and minimize the fees for each player.

REGISTRATION FEES INCLUDE:

SQUIRTS/PEEWEES/BANTAMS – GIRLS U10/U12/U14

• Referee Fees
• Ice time for 2 combined & 1 solo practice and games ($233/hour for Akervik & O’Brien; $198/hour for Hughes)
• Home Games 
• One home tournament
• Two away tournaments for squirts, two away tournaments for peewees, three away tournaments for bantams
• Playoff and State tournament fees
• Preseason skate sessions
• Tryouts 

MITES – GIRLS U8

• Referee Fees
• Ice time for practice and games $198/hour for Hughes)
• Practices 
• Home Games (Mostly on Saturday's)
  • ECYH will play other ECYH teams if there is no away game scheduled or away team scheduled to play 
• Jamborees- 1 Home & 2 Away 

REGISTRATION FEES DO NOT INCLUDE:

SQUIRTS/PEEWEES/BANTAMS – GIRLS U10/U12/U14

• Jerseys and socks
• Additional tournaments
• Travel expenses
• Player equipment
• USA Hockey Fee's / WAHA Fee's

Mini-Mites: Generally ages 4-6-year-olds | Birth Years:  2018, 2019, 2020
Must be 4 years old by 12/31/2024

• Registration fee: $150. 
• Rental equipment is available with a $250 deposit. Details will be sent out mid-October.
• No fundraising requirement

Mites & 8U: Generally 5-8-year-olds | Birth Years: 2016, 2017, 2018

• Payment Plan: $125 collected via the online system on October 1, November 1, December 1 & January 1 

Travel Players

The registration fee for travel teams includes the pre-season camp sessions and tryouts. Total registration, player, and fundraiser fees for the season are described below. 

Squirts: 9 & 10-year-olds & 10U Girls | Birth Years: 2014 & 2015

• Please Note: If your player is a first-year squirt, you will need to bring an original birth certificate to your player's first practice.

Peewees: 11 & 12-year-olds  & 12U Girls | Birth Years: 2012 & 2013
