Chippewa Valley River Hawks
The Chippewa Valley River Hawk cooperative is a collaborative effort between Eau Claire, Chippewa Falls, Menomonie, and Altoona Youth Hockey Associations. Working together CVRH's provides the Chippewa Valley a competitive opportunity to enjoy the sport of hockey in a girls only environment. Having a reliable place to play, specifically for girls, not only encourages participation in the sport but also fosters teamwork and confidence.

USA Hockey Girls Central District Tryout Information USA Hockey Girls Central District National Camps and Central District Development Camp Tryout
April 11-13, 2025
Cornerstone Community Center Green Bay, WI
USA Hockey Central District Girl’s Tryout for 2025 will be held at Cornerstone Community Center in Green Bay Wisconsin April 11-13, 2025. All USA Hockey registered female skaters that wish to try out for USA Hockey National Select Camps as well as the Central District Development Camp MUST attend this tryout to be evaluated. This is an OPEN tryout; any female residing in the Central District (WI, IL, MO, KS, NE, IA) are eligible to participate. In 2024, over 475 girls participated in the tryout, register between February 1 and February 15 to secure a spot. Registration will be limited to the following birth years: 2011, 2010, 2009, 2008Cost is $180. Late registrations received after February 15th will be placed on a wait list and will only be accepted if spots become available. The 20th annual Kohlman Cup pee wee all-star tournament will take place on March 22-23, 2025, at the Eagle River Ice Arena in Eagle River, Wisconsin, and the Girls 12U Kohlman Cupall-star tournament will take place April 5-6,2025, at Eau Claire Hobb’s Ice Arena in Eau Claire WI. You can register for tryouts and pay your fees on-line at www.kohlmancup.com
The Kohlman Cup is open to all 2012 and 2013 Tier II 12U boys and girls in Wisconsin. Girls must choose whether to try out for the Kohlman Cup boys’ team or girls’ team and are not allowed to try out for both. Kohlman Cup tryouts are on Tuesday March 11th at six regional locations for the boys and Tuesday March 11th to Sunday March 16th for the girls depending on your region.
- There could also be a goalie only tryout in certain Regions depending on the number of goalies registered. Stay tuned for more details on the Kohlman Cup website.
- There may be an additional tryout in Region 1 on either Saturday March 1 or Saturday March 8 for boys to ensure the Region has strong numbers to choose from.

Locker Room Monitor Requirements
1. USA Hockey number as a Volunteer. Free. https://membership.usahockey.com/
2. Safe Sport: https://www.usahockey.com/safesporttraining
Needs to be completed annually and you may only need a brief refresher course if you did Safe Sport in the past. Free
3. Background Screening: https://www.usahockey.com/backgroundscreen
Background Screens are good for two years. If you did this last year you may not need to again this year. There is a fee. Reimbursement can be sought from your home association. Please check with your home association if this is a concern for you.

Team Socks and Bags
Sock and Bag distribution:
Each player should have a set of socks in each color.
Tuesday at practice socks will be available for purchase. You can buy two pairs for $30. Or one pair for $20.
Bags: players can rent a bag for the season for free or they can purchase a new bag for $50.
Jerseys: If you have not gotten your jersey please plan to get it on Tuesday also.
